All WRONG! Please don't use steam. Steam and silk don't mix. Steam (moisture) will make silk crapey (sp.?) ie., it makes it like skin with cellulite. Iron flat, medium heat, no steam, NO STEAM. Been there done that! Always try it on an interior piece, like the under side of the hem, first.

I bought both: the handheld shark steam cleaner and the steam pocket mop, because i am moving and i thought it would help. Sofar.....it hasent worked that great. I steam cleaned the tile showers and didnt really see a difference. I also steam cleaned the laminate floors, then again with the duster attachment, and THEN with damp mop. I think i would have fared better just doing it the regular way.
My next project i will try is the walls here, when i clean, i PRAY it works as good as it shows on tv. If not, then i feel i have wasted my money with both, and I TOO will be donating them to goodwill.

P.S. With Grout Sensation you don't have to worry around pets or children. The only smell is what comes out of your Tile & Grout. Also, never have to work double time trying to clean up the residue like all other product that leave behind because Grout Sensation has no rinsing after application.....Check this New Age of safe clean for your self and order a FREE SAMPLE from USA Chemical Corp

Borrow a carpet cleaner and give it a try, but you are most likely doomed. The fruit punch is red because it has food coloring. Food coloring is dye. Apartment carpet is usually inexpensive carpet that is not sturdy enough to be cleaned very often. A good carpet cleaner is your best chance because you need to suck up all the punch from out of the pad, to avoid the stain returning over and over again. Blot the stain with a solution of 1/4 tsp clear dish soap in a cup of warm water. Blot -do not rub. Blot with a white towel wetted with the solution. Then lay a stack of dry paper towels on it, weighted with a book. See if the dye is wicking out to the paper towels. You will have to do this over and over and over to get it out.
If you cannot get it clean, you may be able to have a carpet company cut and patch the stained area using carpet from a hidden area such as a closet. That may be cheaper than losing your deposit.
Sorry i don't have better news...
