Carpet Cleaning Question.?

Long story short. Grandmother moved in with our family and her little dog has been making a complete mess of my room. I have been away for the better part of 2 months and my room has an almost unbearable smell of dog urine and feces. She has not properly cleaned up after her dog and does not keep it in a kennel. She stayed in my room while I was gone. What can I do to clean the entire carpet and get some of the smell out until I can get a steam cleaner? Do those foaming carpet cleaners work if I purchase a few cans and saturate the carpet? Use baking soda? Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks.

Cat Urine On Carpet – No Home Remedies Please…?

My cat urinated on my carpeting and the smell will not go away with steam cleaning with a product specifically marketed for cat urine and it still smells. Can anyone recommend a product that they have *actually used* and has *actually* got rid of the smell. Please do not answer with a home remedy of vinegar or anything else of this nature, as this does not work and I don’t want to waste anymore time. Any professional carpet cleaners out there?

Remove Odor From Area Rug?

I thought my rug would smell better after a whole day in the sun on my patio but it rained and it got wet & I dried it again in the sun and now it stinks!
I have brown stains on the BACK of the rug.
I cant throw away the rug..it’s beautiful.I can hire prof cleaners & dont have steam/carpet shampooer.
If you suggest home remedies, pls specify exact proportions.I guess I’ll have to wash it with mild soap & water in my tub & let it dry in the patio again?

Good Floor Tile Grout Cleaner?

I’m hoping someone can recommend a good “steam” type machine that will help to clean dirt stains from my floor tiles grout. I’m open to any other “green” cleaning techniques that anyone’s had success with too. Just FYI, the grout WAS sealed after the tile was installed about 6 months ago but dirt stains started almost immediately in high traffic areas. I’ve tried a few chemical grout cleaners with no success.

Moms, Any Special Carpet Cleaning Tips?

We put new carpet in the basement a few months ago and our dog decided it was his new litter box. We’ve gotten a handle on his new accidents in the house, but I just can’t get the smell out of the carpet. I’ve steam cleaned countless times, I’ve tried different cleaners with the steam cleaner. I’ve also tried Resolve Oxygen for pet stains and Arm & Hammer (for pets) and Glade (for pets) carpet fresheners. (The stuff you sprinkle on the carpet and then vacuum) I just can’t get rid of the smell. There are no stains, those came up quickly, but the smell is just overbearing.
Please, please tell me some of you have a secret carpet cleaning recipe!!! :)
