Upright Carpet (shampoo/steam) Cleaners ?

I’m looking for one with the best reviews. I looked on ConsumerReports.org but couldn’t find anything. Good for pet stains.

I have two little dogs: A 1 year old and a 16 year old. They have accidents or they do it on purpose, not sure which. I went and bought the Bissel 2X Heat Pro and it works great. Easy to operate, relatively quiet and easy to clean up afterwards. The heater makes a huge difference in loosening the dirt. Has a powered spinning handle tool that’s great for furniture and the car too.

I don’t know that there is such a thing. I had problems With a puppy once and the ammonia is the urine would bleach the carpet. So what i did was fill a spray bottle with water spray the spot and blot and spray and blot until there was no more yellow then clean with the pet cleaner. Always follow up with the water again, because the carpet cleaners leave a build up on the carpet that wil grab dirt. You end up with a dirty spot on your carpet.

I just rented the Rug Doctor from my local grocery store. It cleaned up my carpets well (including pet stains), and was pretty quick and easy. Not too expensive either.
